Job Title: Senior Digital RF System Engineer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital RF System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Digital RF Systems team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating innovative RF systems and solutions.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in RF engineering, digital signal processing, and system design. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceive and design cutting-edge RF systems, and collaborate with external partners to drive key aspects of product definition, design, validation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital signal processing algorithms for RF systems
  • Optimize RF transceivers and perform behavioral model trade analysis
  • Develop and optimize impairments compensation and system calibration methods for phased array systems
  • Simulate and validate digital beamforming implementations, algorithms, and architectures
  • Develop detailed test plans and test procedures for validation and characterization of RF wireless SOC performance
  • Develop automation of test procedures with instrument control
  • Meet with vendors and technology suppliers to select technologies for testing and instrumentation
  • Debug issues and optimize conducted and OTA throughputs performances collaboratively with communications systems and implementation teams
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in testing or design of RF or HW or digital signal processing algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's/PhD degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field
  • MATLAB, Python experience with emphasis on test automation, instrument control, and data management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
