Riverside AmeriCorps Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Coordinator in Riverside, California.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on your community while gaining valuable professional experience. As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for engaging with local communities, recruiting volunteers, and delivering preparedness presentations and home fire campaign events.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and conduct outreach within the communities we serve and partner locations to recruit a diverse pool of volunteers
- Complete and assist volunteers in navigating the onboarding process to engage as a Red Cross volunteer
- Support the preparedness of youth and their families through the delivery of preparedness presentations and home fire campaign events
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective outreach strategies, build relationships with community leaders, and promote our programs and services.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, be self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience working with volunteers and passion for community outreach are highly desirable.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 40+ hours per week. The selected candidate will be expected to relocate if necessary and deploy with only 48-hour notice and for up to 3-week increments to assist with disaster response.
