Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join our dynamic team at HEALTH HYRE/HYRE HARPER Co. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general nuclear medicine expertise in cardiac stress testing (including performing the stress testing) and proficiency in PET/CT imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Diagnose and treat diseases utilizing radioactive materials and techniques while ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional care.
  • Procedure Management: Monitor radionuclide preparation, administration, and disposition.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document procedures, consultations, and healthcare decisions in the medical record, and communicate emergent findings to treating physicians/services promptly.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise medication administration by technologists and nurses, and develop and adhere to standard procedures and protocols.
  • Patient Safety and Confidentiality: Maintain direct and encourage radiation and MRI safety practices, protect patient privacy and confidentiality, and ensure accurate CPT coding.
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Obtain informed consent, complete preprocedure notes in the electronic medical record, and enter pathology requests for obtained specimens.
  • Medical Record Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate medical record documentation in CPRS, and enter medication orders in CPRS when administered during the procedure.
  • Medication Reconciliation: Perform medication reconciliation when medications are changed, started, or stopped.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Certification: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine in accordance with ACR standards, and current Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in general nuclear medicine, cardiac stress testing (including performing the stress testing), and PET/CT imaging.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to Patient Safety and Quality Care: Commitment to patient safety and quality care, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High-Volume Experience: Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Emergency Situations: Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations.
  • Electronic Medical Record Systems: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
Work Hours and Environment
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • No On-Call Requirements: No on-call requirements.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to provide weekend clinics as needed.
