We are in search of a proficient Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to enhance our esteemed healthcare organization, HEALTH HYRE/HYRE HARPER Co. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid background in general nuclear medicine, adeptness in cardiac stress testing (including the execution of stress tests), and mastery in PET/CT imaging. This position is crucial for diagnosing and managing diseases through the application of radioactive materials and methodologies, while prioritizing patient safety and delivering outstanding medical care.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage diseases utilizing radioactive materials and techniques.
- Oversee the preparation, administration, and management of radionuclides.
- Accurately document procedures, consultations, and clinical decisions in the medical records.
- Promptly communicate critical findings to relevant healthcare providers.
- Supervise the administration of medications (including contrast agents) by technologists and nursing staff.
- Establish and comply with standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Promote and maintain safety practices related to radiation and MRI.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure precise CPT coding.
- Facilitate informed consent and complete pre-procedure documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Submit pathology requests for collected specimens.
- Address any abnormal coagulation and eGFR in pre-procedure documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Process medication orders during procedures.
- Conduct medication reconciliation when there are changes to medication regimens.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine as per ACR standards.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Active professional license in any US state.
- Demonstrated experience in general nuclear medicine, cardiac stress testing, and PET/CT imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Dedication to patient safety and high-quality care.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced medical environment.
- Proven capability to manage emergency situations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- No on-call duties required.
- Willingness to provide weekend clinics as necessary.
