Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to enhance our esteemed healthcare organization, HEALTH HYRE/HYRE HARPER Co. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid background in general nuclear medicine, adeptness in cardiac stress testing (including the execution of stress tests), and mastery in PET/CT imaging. This position is crucial for diagnosing and managing diseases through the application of radioactive materials and methodologies, while prioritizing patient safety and delivering outstanding medical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage diseases utilizing radioactive materials and techniques.
  • Oversee the preparation, administration, and management of radionuclides.
  • Accurately document procedures, consultations, and clinical decisions in the medical records.
  • Promptly communicate critical findings to relevant healthcare providers.
  • Supervise the administration of medications (including contrast agents) by technologists and nursing staff.
  • Establish and comply with standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Promote and maintain safety practices related to radiation and MRI.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure precise CPT coding.
  • Facilitate informed consent and complete pre-procedure documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Submit pathology requests for collected specimens.
  • Address any abnormal coagulation and eGFR in pre-procedure documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Process medication orders during procedures.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation when there are changes to medication regimens.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine as per ACR standards.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Active professional license in any US state.
  • Demonstrated experience in general nuclear medicine, cardiac stress testing, and PET/CT imaging.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Dedication to patient safety and high-quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced medical environment.
  • Proven capability to manage emergency situations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • No on-call duties required.
  • Willingness to provide weekend clinics as necessary.
