The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist (Program Manager-OMH) to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Care Line, you will provide a full range of psychodiagnostic services to Veterans at our tertiary care facility. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Psychologist (Program Manager-OMH), you will be responsible for providing a wide range of services, including assessment, psychotherapy, and consultation. You will work closely with medical center staff to ensure seamless patient care and participate in the Psychology Training Program as a committee member. Additionally, you will teach or provide seminars for VA clinical staff, psychology trainees, and fellows as needed. Your administrative and professional supervision skills will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of the organizational unit. You will also provide individual, family, and/or group counseling, and work a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00am-4:30pm.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. You must also have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed. You must have at least three years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. You must demonstrate all of the following KSAs: ability to organize work, set priorities, delegate tasks, and meet multiple deadlines; knowledge of and ability to utilize evidence-based practices and clinical practice guidelines appropriately and ability to guide staff in using these tools; ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view; skill in managing and directing the work of others to accomplish program goals and objectives; ability to translate management goals and objectives into well-coordinated and controlled work operations; ability to establish and monitor production and performance priorities and standards; ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and to develop and implement solutions that result in sound operation of the program.
