We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Shasta Regional Medical Center, a 226-bed acute care facility serving Northern California.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Supervise and oversee the performance of pharmacy technicians.
- Maintain patient records, set-up and package medication doses, and fill and dispense routine orders for stock supplies of patient-care areas.
- Manage inventories of drug supplies, mix drugs with parenteral fluids, and perform other technical duties as required.
- Provide expertise in Pyxis, Meditech, and drug ordering.
- Minimum of five (5) years current hospital pharmacy technician experience.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration (if required by state regulations).
- Proficiency with various computer systems, EHR, ADS, and drug preparation or delivery systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program (preferred).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $24.59 to $31.14. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
