Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to lead and manage our maintenance division, ensuring that maintenance work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Plan and direct the activities of the plant maintenance departments of all three shifts, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Schedule and Assign Maintenance Work: Schedule and assign maintenance work to the maintenance team to ensure timely completion, taking into account production schedules and priorities.
  • Review and Prioritize Maintenance Requests: Review maintenance requests and identify priorities for maintenance work, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly.
  • Track and Analyze Maintenance Data: Track and analyze equipment and maintenance data to identify trends and patterns, informing maintenance strategies and budget decisions.
  • Develop and Update Maintenance Procedures: Develop and update maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage Maintenance Budgets: Manage maintenance budgets, tracking costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities to optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching to maintenance staff to improve their skills and knowledge, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their work effectively.
  • Lead and Supervise Maintenance Staff: Lead and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their work effectively and addressing any performance or behavioral issues.
  • Monitor Work Progress and Lead Problem Resolution: Monitor work progress and lead problem resolution, ensuring that maintenance work is completed to a high standard and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Establish Department Priorities: Establish department priorities in conjunction with production, ensuring that maintenance work is aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage Equipment Reliability Budget: Manage the Equipment Reliability budget, ensuring that maintenance work is prioritized and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Interview and Recommend Staff: Interview and recommend staff for hire, ensuring that the maintenance team has the necessary skills and expertise to perform their work effectively.
  • Adhere to Safety Practices: Adhere to accepted safety practices, identifying potential safety problems and ensuring good housekeeping to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Consult on Safety and Equipment Matters: Consult on safety and equipment matters, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure that maintenance work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop Bids and Specifications: Develop bids and specifications for outside maintenance contractor work, ensuring that maintenance work is performed to a high standard and that costs are optimized.
Requirements
  • Experience in Maintenance Management: Proven experience in maintenance management, with a strong understanding of maintenance strategies and practices.
  • Knowledge of Regulations and Standards: Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and industry-specific codes.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex maintenance issues.
  • Budget Management Skills: Strong budget management skills, with the ability to track costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct maintenance staff.
