Daily Responsibilities

As the Scrap Yard Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving growth. You will cultivate effective relationships with management and team members while striving to meet goals and revenue targets. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain our high standards of excellence.

Your responsibilities will include managing team member schedules, monitoring production metrics, and making staffing recommendations to enhance productivity. You will also analyze performance, provide training and supervision, and implement strategies to improve the customer experience. Additionally, you will manage the opening and closing of the yard, maintain cleanliness, and actively participate in internal meetings and training sessions.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in recycling operations
  • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Understanding of financial principles and operational management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others
  • High school diploma or equivalent

A bachelor's degree or experience with heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
