- Contribute to the design, implementation, and validation of GN&C algorithms.
- Collaborate with fellow controls engineers within a Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking (PAT) team to develop embedded software, testing infrastructure, and software tools essential for the design, construction, and evaluation of laser communication systems.
- Play a pivotal role in transitioning innovative algorithm development from research and development into production.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, or a Master’s degree with over 5 years of relevant experience.

- Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of design experience in relevant fields.
- Experience with software verification and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Background in embedded software development for Linux and/or real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with the complete development lifecycle of GN&C subsystems.
- Knowledge of optical or RF communication systems.
