Assistant Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Grifols Canada Therapeutics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our donor center, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the donor center, including personnel, inventory, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with training and quality staff to ensure training and quality goals are met.
  • Coach and lead employees through effective feedback and performance management.
  • Monitor and evaluate operations, developing action plans to maximize center efficiency.
  • Responsible for all personnel functions, including hiring, assignment, and development.
  • Direct the training activities of production employees.
  • Review and approve employee schedules to accommodate donor cycles.
  • Determine inventory levels and compile orders to vendors.
  • Assure center employees maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition.
  • Responsible for freezer management, including plasma shipments and equipment failures.
  • Construct and submit timely and accurate reports.
  • Develop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns.
  • Maintain thorough familiarity with state and federal regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Direct key personnel in donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records.
  • Control center donor funds and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Minimize center liability through constant risk management review.
  • Direct and monitor the performance of outside vendors.
  • Review and monitor special projects for accuracy and timely completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
