About the Role

The Operations Excellence Consultant will play a crucial role within the Asset Lifecycle Solutions team, ensuring that facilities are designed and maintained to enhance Operability, Reliability, and Maintainability (ORM) during production operations.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Formulating Reliability, Maintainability, and comprehensive Asset Management Strategies and implementation plans throughout the Concept development, Front End Engineering, Detailed Engineering, and Operations phases of projects.
  • Establishing Reliability and Maintenance KPIs and assessing their effectiveness.
  • Conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify condition monitoring and predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Collaborating with Client Operations and Maintenance teams to devise enterprise-wide Condition-based Monitoring (CBM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies for critical equipment.
  • Leading or participating in Equipment Criticality Assessments, Critical Spares Analyses, and Root Cause Analyses.
  • Facilitating the implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system and ensuring a smooth transition to Clients.
  • Providing technical guidance to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment reliability and design improvements.
  • Assisting clients in optimizing their facility maintenance with a focus on achieving compliance targets for all Safety Critical Equipment.
Additionally, the consultant will offer technical support to the maintenance team through troubleshooting and root cause analysis utilizing tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and FMEA.

About You

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on operations or maintenance experience. The qualifications include:
  • A B.Sc. or equivalent degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector, encompassing oil & gas (upstream, downstream) and renewable energy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of standards related to Asset Management and reliability & maintenance data for equipment, such as the ISO 55000 Series & ISO 14224, and their practical application in the industry.
  • Experience in the setup and management of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS, Maximo, etc.).
  • A thorough understanding of Maintenance / Asset Management techniques such as RCM, CBM, RBM, and FMECA.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and intercultural skills.
  • A strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and familiarity with HSE regulations.
  • The ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders within operations and projects.
