R&D Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:
This position is part of ABB's Research and Development team, focusing on the design and development of industrial motors. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the creation of innovative solutions and products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components for industrial motors, ensuring compliance with internal specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, to develop product specifications and application assistance.
- Lead projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policies and processes.
- Analyze motor test data for mechanical performance verification and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design development, manufacturing processes, and customer support.
- Competence in advanced engineering tools, such as FEA, and experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Project software.
- Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
