Senior Construction Materials Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team in New Albany, IN. As a key member of our Construction team, you will play a critical role in conducting field and laboratory testing of construction materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Document field activities, observations, and testing results, and ensure conformance with project plans and specifications.
- Communicate testing results with staff, contractors, and clients, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with calibrations and maintenance of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.
- High School diploma/GED.
- 5+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.
- Experience with ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards.
- Two or more active certifications required, including American Concrete Institute (ACI), NICET, and International Code Council (ICC) certifications.
