About the Role

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Director to lead our Subrogation team. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Subrogation process, driving innovation, and managing resources to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Execute the Long-term Strategy: Develop and implement new strategies, processes, and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Subrogation team.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to claims challenges, leveraging new technologies and developing new training programs.
  • Manage Resources Efficiently: Effectively manage the resources of the claims team, including budget, personnel, and technology.
  • Coach and Develop Talent: Provide one-on-one coaching to ensure managers are equipped to lead and develop their teams.
  • Lead and Deliver Results: Directs and has full management accountability for staff in area of responsibility with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning.
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborates with senior leadership and other members of the organization in the development and implementation of claim policies, business strategies, and goals.
  • Understand and Assess External Environment: Remains current on state/territory regulations and issues, industry activities, and trends.
  • Ensure Compliance: Operates in full compliance with our quality assurance program.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • +8 years of related Claims/Subrogation experience, including familiarity with eSubroHub and ArbForums.
  • Experience managing a team of 25-30 claim associates (Managers, Supervisors, and Claims Professionals).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and executing strategy, and in delivering operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire your teams, and to maintain excellent colleague engagement across all areas of the claim department.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Excel) and other business-related software.
