About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team at Valent North America LLC, a leading provider of innovative crop production and pest management solutions. This is a strategic leadership role that will be responsible for executing on tax vision and strategies, establishing tax policies and procedures, and managing the tax operations and reporting for the SCAI region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement optimal tax strategies to minimize tax liability while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Establish and maintain tax policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tax reporting and compliance.
  • Manage statutory tax filings and financial accounting for tax-related accounts.
  • Lead the Financial Audit regarding all tax matters and Tax Related Accounts.
  • Represent the Companies in federal, state, local, and internal tax audits, and in negotiations with applicable tax authorities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm or a large corporate tax department.
  • Proven knowledge of complex federal and international tax concepts applicable to corporations.
  • Experience with tax research software, ASC 740 preparation and analysis, and US tax reporting for international operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, CPA with an active license or equivalent preferred.
