About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Repair Mechanic to join our team at Goodyear. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical equipment, including safety guards and shields
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and alignment
  • Rebuild pumps and mechanical equipment as necessary, following standard operating procedures
  • Test systems, machines, and equipment; analyze and troubleshoot hydraulic systems
  • Use precision maintenance tools and methods, such as shaft alignment, belt tensioning, and sprocket/pulley alignment
  • Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Basic computer skills
  • 2+ years' experience in maintenance (Millwright, Machinist, or Hydraulics)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAS degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology
  • AWS, ASME, or API certification in Stick, 2G, 3G, and 4G Welding
  • Journeyman's card
  • Completion of an Apprenticeship Program or other formal technical training
