Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

This position provides high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the supervising physician and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients' physical responses to anesthetics and inform the surgeon/anesthesiologist of any adverse conditions.
- Participate in pre-anesthetic evaluations, selecting appropriate anesthetic agents and techniques.
- Perform airway management, including insertion of intravenous catheters, invasive monitoring catheters, and endotracheal intubation.
- Document patient status in the anesthesia record and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless perioperative care.
- Assist with teaching and evaluating newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
- Adhere to departmental and regulatory compliance standards.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia or applicable state.
- Board certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
This role may involve working in close proximity to individuals with infectious diseases and exposure to hazardous compounds, solutions, and medications. The successful candidate must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to strict guidelines to ensure patient safety.
