We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and anesthesia services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients for a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications that may arise during anesthesia.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans for each patient, taking into account their medical history, surgical procedure, and other relevant factors.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations, including reviewing patients' medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
- Manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Document patient care and anesthesia services in a clear and concise manner, adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia.
- Board Certification or Recertification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues and patients.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to respond to complex and dynamic situations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
