Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Engineer to join our team at Synopsys. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating high-speed interface IP with required interface PHY devices on circuit boards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement high-speed interface IP for FPGA prototyping hardware platforms.
  • Define methodologies, bring up, debug, and validate interface IP FPGA prototyping implementations and applications using simulation and hardware testing.
  • Document design specifications and application notes along with example designs.
  • Collaborate with product engineers and field application engineers to guide customer implementation and resolve customer issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in design and validation of FPGA IP and hardware for FPGA prototyping.
  • Experience with high-speed interface technologies such as MIPI, DisplayPort, and HDMI, as well as transceiver-based technologies like PCIe, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA IP development, including RTL coding, design debug, and functionality validation from simulation to hardware bring-up.
  • Ability to work with board design engineers to implement and validate designs on hardware.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in FPGA development tools, including Synopsys Synplify and ProtoCompiler, Xilinx Vivado, and/or Intel/Altera FPGA tools.
  • 10+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping and high-speed interface design.
  • MS or PhD preferred.
