Job Title: AFM Probe Application Engineer

At Applied Nanostructures Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AFM Probe Application Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing AFM probe solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Probe Design and Development: Collaborate with our R&D and engineering teams to design and optimize AFM probes for specific applications, such as surface topography imaging, mechanical property mapping, and electrical characterization.
  • Application Testing and Validation: Develop experimental protocols and methodologies to characterize the performance of AFM probes in different sample environments and measurement modes.
  • Customer Support and Training: Provide technical support to customers regarding AFM probe selection, calibration, and optimization for specific applications.
  • Product Management and Quality Assurance: Define product requirements and specifications for new AFM probe offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, physics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with various modes of operations using AFM with proven record of published papers, application notes or reports.
  • Experience on probe design and characterization is desirable.
  • Experimental skills, including experience with nanofabrication techniques, microscopy, and surface analysis methods is plus.
