The Pharmacy Operations Leader plays a crucial role in influencing our clients and clinic collaborators by providing guidance on our pharmaceutical care services and benefits. This position is accountable for the financial, clinical, and quality aspects of pharmacy services and will oversee the daily functions of a pharmacy, including the dispensing of medications and engaging with clients on a personal level. A significant aspect of this role involves mentoring, developing, and managing pharmacy personnel. The leader will actively seek to attract top talent for pharmacy positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster an exceptional experience for clients and clinic partners while continuously building strong relationships to proactively address their needs.
  • Serve as a clinical expert, engaging with the clinical team to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, schedules, and personal inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards in alignment with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct wellness services, including immunizations and preventive care.
  • Drive financial performance and identify growth opportunities within the pharmacy.
  • Inspire, develop, and coach pharmacy staff to ensure they reach their full potential and deliver outstanding service.
  • Create a supportive team environment that promotes compassion and embodies our core values and culture.
  • Actively promote recruitment opportunities to attract top talent to our pharmacies.
  • Analyze key performance indicators with pharmacy staff to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Engage in workforce and business planning to achieve operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure all needs are met and to promote pharmacy services.
  • Implement marketing strategies and materials to enhance visibility of all pharmacy offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Virginia.
  • Certified immunizer or willingness to obtain certification within three months of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist in Virginia or another U.S. jurisdiction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in pharmacy.
