Key Responsibilities- Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, ensuring compliance with state Veterinary Practice Acts.
- Monitor and assess patient status, collect samples, and place catheters as needed.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to support efficient care.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, ensuring accurate medical charts.
- Utilize safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to fellow team members.
- Veterinary technician licensure required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
