About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Specialty Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including triage, assessment, and treatment.
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia.
  • Conduct in-house laboratory testing and use of Cubex.
  • Administer medications, fill prescriptions, and dispense oral and IV medications.
  • Monitor patients, provide nursing care, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide excellent client service and education.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in New York.
  • Strong experience in in-patient care, in-house laboratory operation, venipuncture, and radiology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
