Job Summary

9th Way Insignia is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Systems Specialist to join our team in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of our systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, Office Suite, Teams, and SQL Databases.
  • Implement and test patches and OEM updates across multiple environments.
  • Monitor operating systems and installed applications.
  • Assist with storage and systems backup.
  • Evaluate and implement hardware and software deployments.
  • Resolve security findings and security patches and updates to the operating systems and Microsoft apps.
  • Provide recommendations and identify critical issues and processing faults as it pertains to the HBA environments.
  • Create and update reports pertaining to the operational status of the HBA systems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify potential risks and create strategies for mitigating risks associated.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
