Job Title: School Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Ashlen Staffing Solutions. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, staff, and the entire school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer daily and PRN medications and nursing care procedures prescribed by students' physicians, ensuring their well-being.
  • Develop emergency action plans (EAPs) and individual health plans (IHPs) to support students.
  • Provide health counseling and education to students, parents, school staff, and others, empowering them with knowledge for healthier lives.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, home, public health professionals, healthcare providers, and community agencies to create a positive impact.
Requirements:
  • Nursing Experience: A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in child health, school health, public health, home health, or emergency nursing.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or higher in nursing from an accredited college.
  • Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NC or a Nurse Licensure Compact State. Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) by the American Heart Association (Good for a least 90 days after hire).
