Role Purpose

The Quality Assurance Technician is tasked with conducting quality assessments to ensure production aligns with specified standards, thereby preventing both internal and external non-conformances.

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth and Safety Execution:
  • Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment usage for all processes.
  • Verify safety standards for the facility and materials.
Quality Management:
  • Conduct inspections and measurements of products during production, utilizing tools such as metric tape measures and calipers.
  • Document inspection results in an electronic inspection system.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming materials as necessary.
  • Revise electronic inspection criteria as required.
  • Update operational instructions as needed.
  • Assist in training initiatives and document participation in training software.
  • Support tracking of purchase orders and ensure proper identification of parts prior to shipment.
  • Address customer and internal non-conformances as necessary.
  • Generate supplier non-conformance reports as needed.
  • Prepare monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Calibrate measurement tools as required.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in reading and utilizing metric tape measures, calipers, and other necessary tools.
  • Ability to navigate steps and ladders.
  • Preferred experience in reading technical drawings.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
  • Prior experience in quality assurance is required.
  • Excellent vision and ability to distinguish color variations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with internal auditing processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of tool calibration is advantageous.
Success Criteria
  • Adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Prevention of non-conforming products from reaching customers.
  • Timely completion of quality inspections in accordance with established work instructions.
