English Composition Instructor for Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking an experienced English composition instructor to join our adjunct faculty at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.
Salary InformationThe salary for this position is competitive and dependent on degree level, with adjunct pay ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 annually.
About the JobThis is a part-time teaching position that involves instructing freshman-level writing courses, including English Composition I, II, and technical writing. The successful candidate will teach in-person, hybrid, or online classes, with day and evening course assignments possible.
In addition to teaching, the instructor will be responsible for tracking attendance, submitting grades, and enrolling students in Blackboard for evaluation purposes.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be eligible for this position, applicants must have a master's degree in English with 18 credits or more of graduate coursework in the field.
Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience in high school, community college, or university settings, as well as familiarity with the Blackboard platform.
