Software Development Engineer for Catalog Management Systems

About the Role
In this key position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software components and applications for Audible. Collaborating with a talented engineering team, you will write scalable and maintainable code and influence team decisions. Your expertise will be utilized to envision, design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software solutions.
About the Team
The Catalog Management Systems team at Audible is responsible for the tools and systems that ingest, validate, process, and publish all of the content available on the Audible platform. Our team is building next-generation systems that will revolutionize the way Audible handles its product catalog.
About You
You will be a strong problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations. You will have experience building and delivering software systems to internal or external customers. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable effective messaging with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be a team player with a high-quality bar for documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, and continuous integration and deployment.

Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. Programming experience with one or more modern language (e.g., Java, C++, C#), including object-oriented design. 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current system. Experience writing clear, maintainable and extensible code.
