The Role

The Product Engineer will be responsible for developing products at our Mooresville, NC facility. Key responsibilities include generating production and sales support documentation, preparing design briefs and specifications, and working with suppliers to incorporate best manufacturing methods into designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop products in the Mooresville, NC facility
  • Generate production and sales support documentation
  • Prepare design briefs and specifications
  • Work with suppliers to incorporate best manufacturing methods
  • Liaise with customer engineering contacts
  • Manage design projects as part of a multi-disciplined project team
  • Travel to other plant locations to assist production teams and develop projects
  • Design, develop, and test new products
  • Compete project cost analysis and assist sales in developing quote packages
Requirements
  • BSME degree required
  • Experience with 3-D CAD systems (Solidworks) required
  • 1-2 years' experience in new product development, project management, or product management preferred
  • Familiarity with fluid transfer systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proficiency in AS400 (System21) an asset
  • Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing
  • Good mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn technical subjects relating to engineering
  • Ability to progress assignments proactively
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Automotive and racing interest a plus
