Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Floor Care Specialist is to execute scheduled floor maintenance tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role encompasses a variety of cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, carpet shampooing, vacuuming, and furniture arrangement.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in floor maintenance is essential.
- Experience in institutional cleaning practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with floor-care machinery is beneficial.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all types of floor surfaces.
- Buff, wax, strip, and top scrub floors as necessary.
- Extract and vacuum carpets as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report maintenance needs to the Supervisor or maintenance team as necessary.
- Identify and rectify safety hazards while adhering to safety protocols.
- Understand and comply with Cantex Continuing Care Network's policies regarding abuse prevention.
- Participate in weekly training sessions and adhere to Patient Care Management Systems.
- Ensure the safety of patients and residents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
