Bethany Pet Hospital is a leading animal care facility in Allen, Texas, providing top-notch veterinary services to dogs and cats. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery, and minor procedures.
  • Restrain animals safely and efficiently.
  • Obtain accurate vitals, medical histories, and note any changes in patient condition to DVMs.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples, such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies.
  • Care and maintenance of medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical packs, and anesthesia machines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients on patient updates and questions.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Competitive pay range of $15-$20/hour based on experience.
