We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Packing Corp Of America's Atlanta Container corrugated facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our converting and corrugating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, and rebuild mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
  • Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime, and waste.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Follow local, state, and national electric codes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair programmable controllers, A/C and D/C drives, and their control systems.
  • Use maintenance software to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign tasks to other maintenance classifications, and maximize equipment utilization.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace, adhering to all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events and complete in-house training programs to develop equipment-specific maintenance skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • At least 1 year of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree and/or comparable experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment, particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry
