Job Summary:

The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in the Supply Chain/Merchandising team, partnering with merchants to develop and implement inventory strategies that maximize sales and inventory productivity for a merchandising category. This involves maintaining optimal in-stock positions and managing inventory across both stores and SKUs. The successful candidate will work closely with merchants, vendors, stores, transportation, distribution, and sourcing to achieve goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement inventory strategies that maximize sales and inventory productivity
• Create accurate SKU forecasts and manage parameters for each category to execute the replenishment strategy
• Achieve target in-stock levels and planned inventory turns
• Develop recommendations to improve inventory productivity
• Work with stores and field leadership to execute category strategies
• Participate in strategic process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of tools and processes used by the Supply Chain Organization

Key Performance Indicators:

• Manage 25 vendors
• Manage $200m+ of inventory
• Support $800m of annual sales

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data
• Strong quantitative skills through knowledge of statistics and quantitative data analysis and interpretation
• Ability to translate analysis to audience and communicate recommendations
• Critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade or influence others
• Strong ability to multitask and handle competing priorities at once
• Strong self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision and as part of a team
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, with frequent opportunity to move about
• On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area, with any unpleasant conditions being infrequent and not objectionable

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
