The Construction Project Coordinator I plays a vital role in managing the administration of multiple small-scale or short-term projects for our clientele. This position often necessitates on-the-job learning to grasp various aspects of the role. The individual in this position directly supports a client-requested role and typically aids in facilitating processes and projects for the client. (This is intended as a guideline. Responsibilities may vary based on management direction.)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to communicate project tasks and timelines.
  • Coordinate activities with other team members within our organization or the client's to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and completion deadlines relevant to assigned projects.
  • Conduct field engineering assessments for proposed projects, ensuring that routing achieves the most cost-effective construction design.
  • Oversee the document control process and maintain consistent communication with the client and both internal and external team members.
  • Organize and maintain data in clear, precise formats, ensuring project files are accurately maintained and uploaded in the client database.
  • Coordinate with client contractors or third-party vendors to monitor job progress from initiation to completion, review and approve invoices, and balance purchase orders as necessary.
  • Develop and sustain an understanding of industry practices, standards, and client requirements.
  • Conduct research and review various jurisdictional zoning ordinances related to telecommunications facilities.
  • Assist in preparing preliminary zoning and permitting analyses in accordance with jurisdictional regulations.
  • Support the preparation of preliminary zoning and permit applications in line with jurisdictional standards.
  • Raise any project-related issues that may affect completion timelines or client satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in the telecommunications sector is required. Experience in the wireless and/or cable industry is advantageous. Experience in the construction industry may substitute for telecommunications experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate a foundational understanding of communications construction is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems is essential.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is required.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Capable of effectively managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
