Job Title: Construction Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our Florida Field Operations team for military projects located in Pensacola, FL.

Job Summary:

The Construction Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in overseeing the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project jobsite to safely produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent in overseeing the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project jobsite.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project requirements, including RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Provide training and guidance to construction personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • College courses in construction management, engineering, etc. are preferred.
  • Three or more years of work experience in a lead Foreman position on medium or large projects is required.
  • Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Government, military, or large commercial construction experience is preferred.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) is required.
  • Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) is preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS are required.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills are desirable.
  • LEED GA Credential is desirable.
