Altium Limited is currently in search of an Electrical Control Panel Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the assembly and construction of electrical control panels for various instrumentation and control projects, which may vary in scale and complexity. The projects will primarily focus on the Water/Wastewater and Food and Beverage sectors, encompassing both private and public initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire diverse control panel products.
  • Install and configure electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams accurately.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and wire various AWG gauges according to specifications with precision.
  • Utilize and comprehend various engineering and manufacturing documents, including Bills of Material, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Support other manufacturing areas as required (e.g., shears, press brake, drill press, saw, manual punch, and other fabrication tools).
  • Execute additional tasks and special projects as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:

A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and hand tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to integrate into a technical environment.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and understand contract documents, plans, and design specifications.
  • Competent computer skills with basic office software (Word and Outlook) and the willingness to learn and utilize related software and systems. Advanced computer skills are highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 30 to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for prolonged periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
