Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Engineer to join our team at Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and transmission design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design transmission stations that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Autodesk CAD software and other industry-standard tools to create drawings and designs.
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning of projects.
  • Collaborate with Power Delivery Operations personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and approve as-built drawings and participate in the department record update process.
  • Perform procurement support tasks, including developing site-specific equipment specifications and reviewing vendor quotations.
  • Support project budgeting and cost estimating as requested.
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge of related current scientific developments and government regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) License in the state of Arkansas no later than 12 months after hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Arkansas.
