About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at SPP Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting Tariff production, NERC planning, and Engineering initiative activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on the development of study scopes and processes
  • Represent SPP in industry and regulatory technical settings
  • Coordinate with SPP membership on key issues and results
  • Develop and maintain a strong level of knowledge of governing documents for Tariff and NERC activities
  • Stay abreast of the latest FERC and NERC orders and rulemaking activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 15 years' of relevant Engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Advanced proficiency with power systems analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariffs and FERC & NERC governing documents
