Job Title: Transportation Construction Inspector

RIG Consulting Inc. is seeking an entry-level Technical Assistant to become a Transportation Construction Inspector in the District 11 area for Road Construction projects.

The base rate may range from $20.76 to $24.42 an hour to start, depending on experience, qualifications, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with materials and construction processes.
  • Review inspection drawings and document daily activities.
  • Maintain project documents and files.
Essential Functions:
  • Travel across various terrain types.
  • Read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Input/retrieve information using electronic devices and software systems.
  • Maneuver safely around moving traffic and equipment.
  • React immediately to hazard warning devices.
  • Use required protective equipment and maintain its care, storage, and maintenance.
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, and climb; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work extended hours in excess of eight hours per shift seasonally and/or be on call beyond normal business hours.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Preferred certifications: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACINICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA, or a degree in Civil Engineering.
