Your Impact

This role will be a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor or Manager. You will plan, review, and assign work of construction field office personnel. You will supervise a team of inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance. You will review project activities with clients and contractors to resolve disputes and other project issues. You will read and interpret complex contract plans and specifications. You will monitor contractor progress and compare with reviewed progress schedules. You will review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs, and technical submittals. You will proactively manage construction changes and claims and work with clients to resolve. You will lead construction meetings with clients and contractors. Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience as a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor or Transportation Construction Manager on road and bridge infrastructure. You should be willing to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projects. You should have progressive work-related experience. You should be able to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reports. You should have advanced knowledge of construction practices and principles. You should be able to interpret plans, standards, and specifications. You should have a good understanding of construction specifications and plans. You should be able to perform mathematical calculations. You should have a working knowledge of Word and Excel. You should have knowledge of PennDOT or PTC specification and standards. You should be able to effectively lead a team of inspectors. You should have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. Preferred certifications include NICET Level 2 or Higher in Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous, and NECEPT Concrete.
