Our comprehensive heart and vascular program, as well as our 24/7 neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval programs for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, set us apart from other hospitals in the area.

Patient Safety Attendant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Safety Attendant to join our team. As a PSA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients by maintaining a direct line of sight with them at all times, accompanying them during transportation, testing, and procedures, and establishing a safe patient environment through the implementation of fall prevention protocols and infection control measures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous observation and monitoring of high-risk patients.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure a safe and risk-free patient environment.
  • Perform room assessments regularly and after visitations to identify potential hazards.
  • Document patient status and activity accurately and clearly.
  • Assist nursing staff with tasks such as transporting patients, delivering equipment and supplies, and answering phones.
  • Participate in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of fall prevention protocols and infection control measures.
  • The ability to obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
