About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement safety protocols to ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and bench stock, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Emergency Maintenance: Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance services, responding to maintenance requests and reporting emergencies as needed.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with Home Managers and other staff supervisors to determine the best time for planned maintenance, minimizing disruptions to residential or center activities.
  • Construction and Renovation: Build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, walls, building framework, and trim, as well as paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
  • Installation and Repair: Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions, as well as items such as window shades, venetian blinds, curtain rods, wall & ceiling fans, and lights.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and develop and coordinate plans for reconstruction, capital improvement, or installation of new equipment or buildings.
  • Cost Savings and Estimation: Suggest cost-saving equipment when replacement is necessary, estimate the cost of parts and supplies, and review manufacturer's service manuals and records of maintenance problems to determine the optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Certifications and Training: Must maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications.
  • Background Check: Must pass a complete criminal background check, name check in the registries, and drug testing.
  • References: Must provide proof of employment history or references, as required.
