About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement safety protocols to ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Tool Management: Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and bench stock, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Emergency Response: Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance services, reporting all emergencies and implementing protocols to ensure safety measures are accomplished.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate work orders with Home Managers and other staff supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with residential or center activities.
  • Construction and Repair: Build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, walls, building framework, and trim.
  • Painting and Installation: Paint interior and exterior walls and trim, install glass in windows, doors, and partitions, and install items such as window shades, venetian blinds, curtain rods, wall & ceiling fans, and lights.
  • Asset Management: Develop and coordinate with Administrator and Manager - Materials and Assets, plans for reconstruction, capital improvement, or installation of new equipment or buildings.
  • Cost Savings: Suggest cost-saving equipment when replacement is necessary, estimate cost of parts and supplies, and review manufacturer's service manuals and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Certifications and Training: Must maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications.
  • Background Check: Must pass a complete criminal background check, name check in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities), and drug testing.
