Maintenance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Accela Rehab & Care Center. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining our facilities and performing regular cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Complete minor repair work, including repairing doors, locks, door frames, and handles, as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
  • Cleaning Duties: Perform regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Maintain all outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, and edging the lawn, as well as shoveling snow and ice as required.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Inspect control panels and electrical wiring to detect any issues that require immediate attention.
  • Emergency Response: Promptly respond to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Proven general maintenance experience.
  • Skills: Excellent time management skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid exemption.
