Job Summary
The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Fire Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fire management team, you will be responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and expertise in program and policy development, interpretation, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual program budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and management.
- Provide technical guidance and support to program staff on programmatic proposals, budget reviews, and record-keeping.
- Facilitate the allocation and distribution of funds to support fire management programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement fire management policies and procedures.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Indian Preference applies.
- Eligibility documentation, such as a DD-214 or BIA Form 4432, is required.
- Direct Deposit is required for federal payments.
- A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
- A supervisory probationary period may be required.
- A valid state driver's license is required for this position.
