Golf Galaxy is a leading golf retailer seeking an experienced Retail Golf Equipment Sales Associate to join our team.

Estimated salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • Job Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers by using diplomacy and tact; ensure that customers are greeted and acknowledged.
  2. Aide athletes by ascertaining their needs and directing them to the golf services area that most effectively meets their needs.
  3. Ensure each customer receives exceptional service leading to maximized sales by finding the right products, providing creative solutions, and resulting in dramatically improved performance.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of all vendors' equipment including heads, shafts, and grips.
  5. Support store services sales by educating the customer on the benefits of club fittings and club repair services available.
  6. Make equipment and accessory recommendations tailored to the customer.
Operations:
  1. Assist in achieving the store shrinkage goal by ensuring that all merchandise used for display is properly handled and accounted for at all times.
  2. Participate in merchandise sets, replenishment, and recovery processes, pricing and signing execution, etc., to ensure that established presentation standards are met and maintained.
  3. Increase store revenue and profitability through a proven process.
Other Responsibilities:
  1. Promote Company programs including but not limited to, ScoreCard loyalty, product warranty, private label credit card enrollment, etc.
  2. Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all Company information.
  3. Maintain and participate in all recovery and cleanliness standards.
  4. Create an inclusive in-store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
  5. Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team.
Qualifications:
  1. Golf industry experience preferred.
  2. Golf fitting experience preferred.
  3. Associate's degree or technical diploma in the Golf industry preferred.
