Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare various journal entries.
  • Reconcile and manage fixed asset transactions, including purchases, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Calculate and record bad debt expenses while maintaining accurate reconciliations.
  • Oversee prepaid expense records and their coding.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage operating and finance leases in accordance with ASC 842 guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address job cost department changes.
  • Foster productive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Set objectives and priorities, allocate resources effectively, and anticipate future needs.
  • Assist with documentation for external audits.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience; proficiency in General Ledger reconciliation is advantageous.
  • An Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or Business is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience in the construction sector is a plus.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software, including Excel VLookups and Pivot Tables, is beneficial.
  • Experience with CMiC or similar accounting software is a plus.
