Operations Director - Oil and Gas

We are a leading final-mile supply chain and distribution company with 25 fulfillment center locations around the country. Our services extend to the US, India, South America, and Canada.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

The Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day leadership of counter operations, warehousing, production, and product distribution at an oil and gas branch location. Key responsibilities include directing work schedules, evaluating daily activities, ensuring cost-effective operations, and coordinating with other units to solve operational or customer problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customarily and regularly exercises discretion in solving inside sales, operational, and distribution issues
  • Devises and initiates work schedules of personnel to ensure efficiency and productivity of the branch location
  • Evaluates and monitors day-to-day activities to ensure cost-effective operation and makes recommendations on changes necessary to ensure the same
  • Ensures a safe and efficient working condition of the branch and all employees
  • Evaluates all branch personnel to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to efficiently handle their job duties
  • Coordinates with other units of the region to solve any operational or customer problems
  • Ensures customers are given the highest level of service possible
  • Ensures compliance by all assigned personnel to laws that govern the operation of the branch location operations
  • Ensures that the branch location is in good repair, clean, and neat
  • Ensure that the proper company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed
  • Coordinates efforts with Account Managers to more efficiently service existing and prospective customers
  • Provide Account Managers with quotes and research information so that they may follow up on it with the customers
  • Directly supervises all assigned branch employees
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws
Requirements:
  • Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of experience in the oil and gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of managing others and at least two years of sales experience is required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
