Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Status: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper (approximately 35 hours per week) for our Senior Independent Living Community. The starting wage is $13.75 per hour. While prior experience is preferred, we are open to training candidates who demonstrate a passion for working with seniors. Full-time benefits include 40 hours of vacation and sick pay within the first year, along with holiday pay. In the second year, this increases to 80 hours of vacation and sick pay. Additional benefits encompass medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Position Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents. This role reports directly to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly cleans designated areas within the established time frame using appropriate cleaning products, including occupied and vacant units, patios, common areas, offices, lobbies, and restrooms.
  • Performs various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing.
  • Maintains and stocks cleaning carts, notifying supervisors of low supply levels.
  • Ensures proper storage of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Communicates any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
  • Observes and reports any unusual resident behaviors or conditions to supervisors.

  • Must exhibit patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition, with the ability to handle challenging situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Must work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains professional relationships with colleagues and vendors.
  • Upholds confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism by adhering to the company’s Code of Ethics and completing all required compliance training.
