About the Role:

Compass Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Whatcom Triage Center team in Bellingham, WA. As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide nursing care and supervision of the treatment of patients, administration of psychiatric and medical medications in office, and oversee compliance with medication schedule.

About the Team:

Our Whatcom Triage Center can accommodate 16 individuals who are recovering from a mental health crisis. We provide crisis stabilization, walk-in emergency and next day appointments. Our team is dedicated to providing quality care and support to our patients and their families.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current Washington State Registered Nurse License, 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, and current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. You will also need to have thorough knowledge of nursing issues pertaining to the patient population served in the program, along with thorough understanding of the nursing process and intervention strategies used to address these issues. Additionally, you will need to have the ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems, and demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment. Finally, you will need to have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and general computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.
